The Woman’s Club of Lacey organized in 1965, gained approval from the New Jersey State Federation of Women’s Clubs (NJSFWC) of the General Federation of Women’s Clubs (GFWC) and became federated in 1965. The New Jersey State Federation of Woman's Club's consists of 8,000 plus women statewide, and is the largest volunteer women's service organization in the state and a member of the General Federation of Women's Clubs. The GFWC, headquartered in Washington DC, provides opportunities for education, leadership training, and community service through participation in local clubs, enabling members to make a difference in the lives of others, one project at a time.
